"The Beginning" PreCollege/PostHighSchool

Okay, here I am. In between High School and College. I am a brand new blogger, and I am gonna document my epic adventure of college slash my struggle to survive. I am going to college two days..... bah! Have I started packing? Do I have everything in order? Did the cat just jump on the bed and scare me to death?.......... well the last question was yes but the rest..... hmmmm. I think I need to get started. Be Prepared...psh!Do I look like a boy scout?
Alrighty! well I think my circumstances need to be put out there. I am going down to Southern Utah University, SUU, in Cedar City. Three and a half hours away. wow. Think of it. Janessa on her own, far from any people she knows. I project she will be dead within the first week. okay okay okay. focus, back on topic. I have a full tuition scholarship, but food, books, and housing is way more than tuition. So I have been working as a lifeguard at the pool...ya pretty cool eh?! Easiest job ever, but there is always a worry you might have to actually do something and if you do it wrong then you could kill someone. but ya know, No Pressure!
Well I joined the Honors Program for two reasons. 1-I would get a decent room mate that is just as serious and dedicated about school as I am, and hopefully we might get along. 2-I figured that the honors housing would be better than normal housing...... haha! I sure slipped and fell and landed in a giant pile of elephant crap on both of those assumptions. Let me enlighten you.
First, I am staying in Juniper Hall... the oldest, smallest and crappiest housing on campus! yay! That is all I know about it right now, I really haven't seen the actual room so more about that later. Second, My Room Mate. I got the assignment in June. I have never met her. but we are facebook friends. She seems like a nice girl. We messaged for awhile but then we ran out of stuff to say. Her name is Shayla. She wants to go into visual arts or agribusiness... what the heck are those?! She says her blue hair highlights is one of the best decisions she made. Thats where I got kind of uneasy. o ya and a couple days ago she announced that she is engaged! she will get married in october. um, congrats. ugh. okaaaaay well either i will lose a room mate......or I will gain one. Awkward!My epic third wheel adventures seem to have followed me from high school to college. .joy. well that is all i know right now. I feel like I am on the edge of a cliff, and I am blindfolded. I guess we will see how it all works out. haha it will be an adventure. o ya!
